The fruits of cherry.
さくらんぼの木です。丁度、最盛期でした。
The fruits of cherry are the most famous special products in Yamagata.
Safflowers.
紅花です。
Safflowers were very famous special products in Edo period(1603-1868CE).
By macro lens.
The safflowers were used as dye.
紅花は染料として使われ、莫大な富をもたらしました。
We could see many wild flowers in Yamagata.
Bellflower.
ホタルブクロです。
Red clover.
アカツメクサです。
Urajiroyouraku. The azalea family.
ウラジロヨウラクです。
The blossoms of a chestnut tree.
栗の花です。
When we ate a sushi set lunch ,we found a cool decoration.
A tuna sushi.
A shrimp decoration. The sushi restraunt chef made this one from a bamboo leaf.
We also visited temples and a shrine.
Wakamatu Kannondō.(Temple)
in this lyrics.
若松観音堂です。
花笠音頭の「めでた、めでたの、若松様よー」と歌われています。
Jionji temple.
慈恩寺です。
Okujirō Shrine.
奥次郎稲荷神社の鳥居、とても背が低くて頑丈に出来てます。
A pine tree. This tree is located in Honkakuji temple pricincks.
本覚寺の左右の松です。

I just finished eating some dark chocolate covered organic cherries. :-) Love that photo of the cherries in front of the Shoji screen! And I had no idea safflowers were so pretty! I only knew about the safflower oil. Love the flowers!

We use safflower oil too. Safflower lipsticks are very expensive. Okujiro Shrine gate looks very interesting for me too.

こんにちは、さくらんぼと、紅花と、本鮪が素敵です。山形県も写真のネタに事欠きませんね。でも周囲の景色や物を注意深く見てるから、写真ネタが多いとも言えますね。「めでた、めでたの、若松様よー」が若松観音堂の若松とは、知りませんでした。かなり旧くて立派なお堂ですね。素晴らしい写真をありがとうございました。

Deleteこんばんは。お褒め頂きありがとうございます。若松観音と花笠音頭との関係は私もここに来て初めて知りました。お寺は「若松寺、じゃくしようじ」と読みますので複雑です。
ちなみに三階節の「米山さんから雲がでた、、」の米山は新潟県の山の名前です。
さくらんぼが沢山実っていましたが、木の上にビニールで雨避けが掛かっていて良い写真が撮れなかったのが心残りです。
ほんとイセエビの飾り、すごいセンスですね。このシェフの創案なのでしょうか?
