SHINJUKU IMPERIAL GARDEN IN TOKYO.

 Shinjuku imperial garden is located central area in Tokyo. We enjoyed autumn season there .

My blogger friend and her family came to Japan from Malaysia.. We invited them for supper in our house.


We went to a metropolitan garden very near from our house.


We enjoyed the night scene in this garden.

Lina attend Lake Kawaguchiko full marathon in the coming Sunday.

I hope she will get a prize at the marathon.

TOKYO WALKING , SENNJU

 Senju was the first post-station town from the center of Tokyo to the North East Japan in feudal era.

 千住は関東地方から陸奥国へ向かう奥州街道(日光街道)の重要な交通の要衝でした。

Senju long bridge. 千住大橋。

この橋は1594年に隅田川に架かる最初の橋として家康によって架けられました。

広重の〔千住大橋」です。このころは、大橋と呼ばれていました。最初の写真にも大橋
とだけ書かれています。




The statue of Haiku founder,MATUO Basho.

Basho started his famous journey" Okuno Hosomichi" from Senju.

芭蕉は深川より船でこの地に来て、ここから「奥の細道」の旅を
始めました。

「行く春や 鳥啼き 魚の目は 泪」
芭蕉の矢立て初の碑がここに有ります。

神社の扉の内側に伊豆長八の鏝絵があります。

This real art is located inside of this shrine.

勝専寺の赤門です。2代から4代の将軍が利用しました。
この寺の千手観音から、この地が千住と呼ばれたという説もあります。

開業中の名倉医院、関東一円に名を馳せた、骨接ぎの医院です。

非常に珍しい、絵馬屋が有りました。

LAKE TOWADAKO AND MT. IWAKISAN.

  We went to Lake Towadako next day and Mt.Iwakisan last day by a rental car. We would reserve both way train tickets and hotels and borrow a rental car beforehand.
