WILD FLOWERS IN HAKUBA.

There are 4 main highlands in Hakuba. Happo-One, Tugaike,Goryu and Iwadake.  I already uploaded Iwadake lily garden.  I want to upload wild flower photos in other highlands.

It takes 20 minutes by cable car and 8 minutes by another cable car  to Tugaike highlands.

This cable car would start every 20 minutes.

  1. The photos are so pretty and nice! I love these flowers - Karamatusoh, Asagirisoh and Watasuge. They are so unusual and we don't see them in my country...
The hang gliding sports is really exciting to watch from the open air restaurant. I would love to read a book there or just take a nap. The view must be fabulous!

The highlands are beautiful. The wild flowers are all gorgeous. A few of them look familiar, but they don't grow wild here. Thank you for sharing!

  5. So much beauty packed into one post! This is why I love the mountains most of all. :-) That restaurant - I wouldn't be able to take my eyes off the view long enough to look at my meal! So breathtaking. The gondolas look fun, but I'll leave the paragliding (a little bit different than hang-gliding) to others braver than I ~ but what a view and what peaceful silence they must experience up there! (We used to have a lot of paragliders floating over our house in the mountains, often riding the thermals along with the hawks and eagles!) The flowers are all stunning, of course. No way to choose a favorite from this beautiful batch! Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos, Minoru!

Thank you very much for your comment. Sorry,I found they were paragliders. little bit confussion among Japanese people. I imagine you live near the highlands just as same as these highlands.
I feel very happy you like my post. Thanks for sharing.

  24. What a spectacular post. I can't think of a more delightful day than the one you spent. The outdoor restaurant, with that amazing view, and all those beautiful wildflowers are incredible. I don't know any of those flowers. Thank you so much for sharing such lovely scenes with us.

I was fortunate to visit Japan twice in recent years....five days the first time in Tokyo where I got to meet forensic nurse colleagues and physicians who also do work with sexual assault cases. Several of us became immediate friends and I was invited back - as their guest, with two friends, to teach. We spent a day in Tokyo, three days in Kyoto/Osaka, and three wonderful days in Akita - the trip of a lifetime.
