VISITING GARDENS IN HOKKAIDO. 1/2

We visited gardens in Hokkaido. It was early spring even now in Hokkaido.

We first visited Rokkano Mori garden at Obihiro.

 六花の森です。(バターサンドで有名な六花亭の森です。)

A small stream with Ezono-Ryuukinka flowers both banks.
 
エゾノリュウキンカ(蝦夷の立金花)が両岸に咲く小川です。
 
 
Purimura flowers.
 
大桜草です。
 
Shirane-Aoi.
 
白根葵です。
 
 
By macro lens.
 
 
Trillium.
 
大花の延齢草です。北大の寮歌にも歌われています。

Then we went to Tashirono Mori garden.
 
太四郎の森です。
 
A lane with primura and trillium.

Trillium flowers grow in colonies.

Ezono-Ryuukinka flowers grow in colonies.

Then we went to Shichiku garden.
 
紫竹ガーデンです。

A row of Japanese white birch trees.
 
白樺の並木です。
 
Male blossoms of the tree.
 
白樺の雄花です。
 
 
Yukimocji-Soh.
 
雪餅草(ユキモチソウ)です。

  5. Minoru, I have never seen so much Trillium in one place, and it is just beautiful.
    We have just a few of them in our front garden. Some are white and some are red.

    I especially love the Shirane-Aoi flower.

  6. こんにちは、蝦夷の立金花の群生と小川が綺麗ですね。白樺の並木も美しいし、こういうところを散歩すると気持ちがいいでしょうね。 六花の森というと旭川-富良野-十勝から続く北海道ガーデン街道として旅行会社が売出し中ですが、この景色だと訪問客も多そうですね。どの花も綺麗ですが、雪餅草が可憐です。

       こんばんは。十勝、帯広方面は長い間、行って無かったので、この方面を選びました。
      山野草が多く、園芸種の花が少なかったので楽しめました。
       雪餅草はとても可憐でした。

  7. It's interesting to me that so many of your flowers are what we have growing wild here in northern Minnesota in the springtime, too!

      Thank you very much for your comment.The latitude of the central city of Hokkaido is almost same the city of Milwaukee. Hokkaido is located in northen area in Japan.
