Windmills in Neitherlands. オランダの風車。

We went to Benelux countries for ten days.

Arriving at Brussels airport,we went to Rotterdam and stayed.

Next day, we went to Kinderdijk to see windmills.

Many windmills.

They were very beautiful.

But nowdays, there are many wind turbines.

Then we went to Delft.

Delft is a hometown for Vermeer.

There are many canals in this country.

We visited Royal Delft pottery factory.

Nachtwacht by Rembrant by ceramic tiles.

Then we went to Mauritshuis museum in Den Haag.

A scene in Delft by Vermeer.

A girl with a pearl earing by Vermeer.

We enjoyed many paintings at the museum.

The scenery in Den Haag.

Ridder Zaal in Den Haag.

  1. Wow!!! You were in Europe! I was just wondering about your long silence and absence from your blog. Looks like you had a great time looking at this peaceful country which has the most eco-green concept in this world. I love their canals.

Next winter, I have planned to visit friends in London and they suggested taking the new direct train to Amsterdam. Your post is making me so excited!!!

  7. What a lovely trip. I too have been wanting to see the windmills. I have actually seen the painting the Girl with the Pearl Earring, when it visited a museum in San Francisco.

  9. You saw so much on your trip. The old windmills are much more attractive than the modern wind turbine.

  10. The girl with the pearl earring has always been my favourite of the Dutch Masters, and the country is one of my favourites as well.
I enjoyed your photo-tour through the Netherlands, which shows so much more than we saw on either of our visits there.

  15. Those windmills, so iconic. I wonder what we'll all be saying about the wind turbines in 50 years, I think they have an elegance of sort too. Looks a fabulous trip, I hope you have been doing some bicycling?!
