SIGHTSEEING TRIP I OSAKA and NARA.

We went to Osaka and Nara for two days.


There is one of the largest ancient tombs at Sakai city In Osaka.




We looked the tomb from 21st floor of Sakai city hall.




I took this photo very near from the tomb.



This tomb looks like a forest.


Then we went to Nara prefecture.


Tansan jinja shrine. 談山神社。




Thirteen-storied Pagoda.





Main shrine. 懸け造り。



Asuka temple. 飛鳥寺。




Amakashinooka hill. 甘樫丘。



The view from the hill. 左、畝傍山、右、耳成山。


We found some flowers during the trip.


Lamium purpureum.




ヒメオドリコソウ。




Common vetch. カラスノエンドウ。



Astraglus. レンゲソウ。




White dandelion. シロバナタンポポ。

  6. I like the thought of a forest tomb. I wonder if 13 is a lucky number in Japan? People in the US are often superstitious about the number 13. Lovely wildflowers are blooming already! We continue to get snow.

    談山神社に来ると私は壮大な山奥の建物に圧倒され、東北の山寺を思い出します。神社はもうすぐ桜で染まります。昨年夫と甘樫の丘をひと巡りしました。こんな可愛いお花が咲いているのに気がつかず、でも美味しそうなブドウ棚は見つけました。

      こんばんは。 実は藤原鎌足の足跡を訪ねる旅に一人行きました。minor の 日記には、それを書きましたが、こちらは観光だけにしました。
       講師に仁徳天皇陵墓をまじかに見られる秘密の場所を教えてもらい、苦心の末、見つけました。
       これがとても素晴らしかったです。

  9. This post is very interesting about Nara and Osaka which I missed going to these places. Now you have given me reasons to visit Nara again someday.
    The burial grounds of Emperor Nintoku is awesome and huge! It looks different from the Qin Emperor's tomb in Xian which I saw few years ago. Their terracota warriors are nearby too. Hope you can visit Xian one day as it has the most ancient sites in China. I will visit Xian again this coming winter.

    2. Earlier I mentioned Terracota Warriors which is the same as 始皇帝,大兵馬俑..! It is the most amazing historical relics unearthed. Besides that, Xian has got too many ancient sites and Mount Hua to explore. Have a good day Minoru San.

  11. 私は車で50分くらいのところに住んでいますが、飛鳥の稲渕の棚田を通り抜けて談山神社まで行きます。神社の赤い色がきれいに撮れてますね。藤原鎌足と中大兄皇子が曽我入鹿討伐の相談をした多武峰。飛鳥にはミステリー、陰謀、古代の恋物語など魅力がいっぱい。春にはレンゲ畑を探しに行きます。

      奈良の古墳も空から見たいなと思いました。 大和三山も二上山もよく見てきました。
