Shimanto river is one of the most beautiful river in our country.
There are many flood proof bridges in this river.
Sada bridge.
A flood proof bridge means a bridge designed to be under-water during a flood.
The scenery near the bridge.
Sanri bridge.
I crossed this bridge by car with my wife.
Iwama bridge.
I crossed this bridge too.
The upper stream of the river.
Leaving from the river,we went to Muroto misaki cape.
A suite room where we stayed.
A living room.
Next morning we waked up with the sun rise.
We strolled along the sea side.
There were many rocks.
There was a hawk on a rock.
Leaving the hotel,we went to Muroto misaki cape light house.
This light house is located on a hill top.
We could see the nice scenery.
This bay is facing the Pacific Ocean.

Minoru, you and your wife take the best trips. I'm glad to accompany you through your photos. Those narrow bridges look a little scary! Love the sunrise shot.

Beautiful sceneries. Although the bridge without side railings scare me a bit.

ReplyDeleteDear Yoko sama.
ReplyDeleteDear Akemi sama.
Hello Minoru, Beautiful views of the river and the coast. Thank you for sharing!

Amazing and unusual flood proof bridges... A very good idea for areas with such problems, as example with inundations or river waters with big volume!(this is something i've never seen before). And so stunning sceneries, sights seen at the shore of the Pacific Ocean; all of them are spectacular, but no. 17 is my fave. That room with the view was for sure outstanding to have a good look at sunrise...
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for sharing these with us! best regards to both of you in the new week of March!
Dear Alexa.
DeleteThank you very much for your comment. I feel happy you like my photos. The flood proof bridges are not so popular in our country.
Wow, im reading and learning a lot from here. My mind was blown when i read that you crossed on that bridge via car, then it's a flood proof one (this is the first time that i heard a bridge like that and finally the stunning pictures you have for us! this is coooll, im in love with Japan!

You both must have enjoyed a marvelous time at the country side that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. I can sit there for hours and read a book in that peaceful environment.
ReplyDeleteThe room you slept was huge, warm and cozy with 2 comfortable big beds!
Dear Twilight Man.
