TOKYO WALKING ,ALONG THE SUMIDA RIVER.

 Getting on a water bus from Ryogoku to Akashi, our Tokyo walking has started.

東京水辺ラインに乗っての東京散歩です。

The water bus passed under the many bridges.

多くの橋を通過しました。


Kiyosubashi bridge. 清洲橋です。


Umayabashi bridge. 厩橋です。


Eitaibashi bridge. 永代橋です。


Kuramaebashi bridge. 蔵前橋です。


Shin-Ohashi bridge. 新大橋です。


Chuo-Ohashi bridge. 中央大橋です。


Azumabashi bridge. 吾妻橋です。


Tokyo Skytree. 東京スカイツリーです。


The reflection.

アサヒビールの本社にスカイツリーが反射しています。

Window cleaning. 窓拭きの最中でした。

We arrived at Tukudazima island.

明石町の船着場から、歩いて佃島に到着です。

A shop treating boiled down fish foods in soy.

佃煮のお店です。

Sumiyoshi shrine. 住吉神社です。


We could see various kind of trees and blossoms.

It was very hot day,but we enjoyed this walking very much.

  3. 住田川にかかる沢山の橋があるのですね。それぞれ特徴のある橋が建設されていたのだなあと思いました。
    奈良では数年前に飛行船を飛ばす会社が閉鎖されたとかで、飛行船が浮かぶ空が見られなくなりました。キィウイが鈴なりですね。藍染の佃煮やさんの”のれん”好きです。

      こんばんは。 終戦後に多くの橋が乏しい予算のなか、それぞれ工夫を凝らして作られました。 先人の偉大さに敬服します。
       大阪の佃村から連れてこられた漁師が佃島に住んで、塩茹でした魚が最初で、野田の醤油を入れて煮て、佃煮が産まれたそうです。
       古風で味わいが有りますね。

  8. I like seeing Tokyo's bridges from the boat. That walkway between the towers of Saint Luke's Hospital looks scary. I don't think I'll apply for the job as window washer! Great photos of the island sights, Minoru.

  11. Beautiful bridges! And the tower reflected in the sky scraper is a gem. I love the trees here. Actually have never seen kiwi growing on its tree!

  18. I enjoyed your tour of Tokyo, so many bridges. I like the reflection of the Skytree in the glass building. It looks very modern there. The giant Kiwi vine is amazing, and the Shrine is interesting.

  21. The photos are so lovely with so many interesting bridges of different designs. This reminds me of Pittsburgh where I studied and they have 446 bridges in the small city!

    I like your clever photography showing the reflections as this is something only could be captured by creative people at that moment.

    I am excited to see the kiwifruits as we have none in my country.

      The shutter chance point of the reflection is well known by many people who live in Tokyo.
