HAKKODA MOUNTAINS IN AOMORI.

We went to a 3 day trip in Aomori. Aomori is located in the most northern prefecture in our mainland.

We went to one of the Hakkoda mountains by cable car.

Hakkoda mountains.

Tamoyachi marsh.

A beech forest.

There were many wild flowers there.

Paeonia lautiflora.

Creeping pine, male flowers.

Creeping pine, pinecone.

Japanese rowan.

Heavy winds would blow at this mountain.

Under the influence of the heavy winds, the service of cable car was suspended.

We could get on the last cable car. No sightseeing people would not get on the up one.

Thanks for visiting this post.

  7. I bet that was a thrill to ride down on the cable car in high wind! What perfect views you had, Minoru. The wildflowers are very delicate. We have similar pink bell-shaped ones that are called Prairie Smoke.

Thank you very much for your comment. We walked very fast to catch up the last cable car. My wife became very tired. I will check the Prairie Smoke.

  8. I enjoy seeing your forests and bogs, and the cute wildflowers, I like the little bell-shaped flowers the best. Japan has so many nice forests in the north. I would love to see the Hakkoda Hot Springs.

  9. I don't think it would be much fun in a cable car during heavy winds, Your scenic shots are gorgeous and I love the wildflowers.

  10. Thanks for the information that Aomori is located in the most northern part of the mainland. This is something new as this place is rather quiet and peaceful from the world news.
I like this アカモノです and the creeping pines which both look very attractive and unusual to me. The creeping pine is like a stage diva in flamboyant costumes! LOL
