A CASTLE SITE TOUR

We went to see castle sites in North East Japan.  It is interesting things for an castle fancier to see castle sites.

 東北地方に城跡を見に行って来ました。

Kitakamigawa River. The snowy landscape was very beautiful.

 

北上川です。

 

 

Shiba official defence site.(Reconstruction)

This office was build to control North East area in 803AD.

 

志波城です。この古代城柵は蝦夷を支配するため坂上田村麻呂によって

８０３年に建てられました。

 

 

Inside of this ancient official defence site.

 

志波城の内部です。　当時は多賀城より北は蝦夷の土地と思われて来ました。

 

 

Morioka castle site. built in 16th century.

 

盛岡城です。南部信直によって１６世紀に建てられました。

盛岡城の石垣です。ここには

「不来方のお城の草に寝ころびて空に吸はれし十五の心」

で有名な啄木の歌碑があります。

 

 

500 Rakan buddist statues inside of Houonji Temple.This temple is very near from Morioka castle site.　This temple was built in 1362AD.

 

盛岡城の近く報恩寺の五百羅漢です。１３６２年南部守行が開基しました。

 

 

Kunohe-Jou Castle site. Built in 16th century.

 

九戸城跡です。豊臣勢によって１５８６年滅ぼされました。

 

 

A Japanese persimmon tree.

 

柿の木に実が沢山ついていました。

 

 

Usuginu castle site, built in 13th century.

 

１３世紀に建てられた薄衣城跡です。

 

 

Shiratoridate ruins. Just near Kitakamigawa river.　Built from 10th century to 16th century.

 

１０世紀から１６世紀にかけて機能した。白鳥館遺跡です。
