  2. Buckwheat flowers... now I know "flori de hrișcă" how they really looks!!. Never seen before such blooms to have such lovely aspects! And I'm so impressed by the mountain sights, these beautiful landscapes, especially the one in Hodaka... I love each one captured by your camera lens and the mix of colors of the waters in Yakedake and, also, in Taishoike.. Akebonoso is gorgeous as all the wild flowers shown in previous post at Hakuba... oh, what details, indeed! Have a great and positive week!

  4. Hi Minoru!
Thanks for showing the buckwheat field and flowers. In our family we eat buckwheat pasta from Italy but I've never before seen the plant. The rivers and mountains are very beautiful,as are your photos.
    Interesting bird!

  5. Especially since we love buckwheat soba noodles, rice, apples, and a bit of Japanese horseradish on our homemade vegan sushi rolls, I really enjoyed seeing these crops! :-) The field of buckwheat is especially lovely with its delicate little flowers and mountain backdrop, and the rice crop looks abundant!

The mountain scenery is so gorgeous, I can almost feel the fresh, cool air! Especially beside the pond and along the Azusagawa River. Love those shots of beautiful Yakedake and the Hodaka mountains with the clouds hiding their peaks. I think those wildflowers were about to enjoy a little afternoon drink! :-)

My favorite flower is the Akebonoso. So unusual! It almost doesn't look real!

A lovely job, as always, Minoru! Visiting your posts always makes me feel like I've taken a wonderful little vacation! :-)

    Have a nice day!

  21. Great shots of the grain fields, Minoru. Looks like it was a good harvest. The scenery in that area is beautiful. The photo of the river with Mt. Yakedake in the background takes my breath away. As usual, you've included some lovely wildflowers. The petals of the Akebonoso are really pretty.
