SPIDER LILIES,GROWING IN COLONIES.

There is a area where spider lilies grow in colonies in Saitama, very near from Tokyo.
About 5 million lilies would bloom almost at the same time.

Spider lilies at Hidaka city in Saitama.

White color.

    Green Tomato

I look forward to visiting again.

  9. What a strikingly beautiful effect the spider lilies have, growing in such amazing abundance among the trees like that, in sun and shade! Their color is just wonderful - and I love their closeups! They resemble lovely firework displays! What extraordinary places you visit - I am always so grateful to have discovered your blog, Minoru! :-)

I'm also glad you weren't on hiking on Mount Ontake this weekend! :-(

  13. Oh my! Fabulous to see them as dense meadows of flowers, an incredible sight! I have them as autumn border plants or as clumps in a flower bed but to see them on such a large scale is truly fantastic.
Thank you for this wonderful post.

    Have a nice day!

  15. And I want to add that: these spider lilies are amazing!! I've never seen such blooms in reality, only in pics, but to me, the way you presented them is so amazing! I love all the details and my fave is nr. 2...
So, all the best and have a sunny week of autumn for yourself and family!
