A SIGHTSEEING TOUR IN NARA AND SHIGA.

                    Leaving from Mt.Yoshino, we went to see Yamato-Koriyama castle.

                                 吉野の後は、大和郡山城に行きました。



Yamato-Koriyama castle.







The moat. お濠です。


Yanagisawa library. 柳沢文庫です。むくり屋根がおしゃれです。



Then,we went to Mii-dera temple in Shiga.



The main gate. 三井寺の山門です。



We could see Lake Biwako from this temple.

三井寺から、琵琶湖が見えました。


Then,we went to Ishiyama-dera temple.


Ishiyama-dera means a temple on the rocks.
There are many rocks in this temple.

紫式部ゆかりの、石山寺です。


Setagawa river. This river come from lake Biwako.

瀬田川です。瀬田の唐橋は名神高速道路のかげになり、見えません。


We stayed Biwako hotel,our rooms are facing Lake Biwako.

琵琶湖に面した、琵琶湖ホテルの部屋からの眺めです。


Lake Biwako, the largest lake in our country.

琵琶湖と近江大橋です。

We could see some flowers in this tour.


Cherry blossoms in front of the hotel garden.

ホテルの前庭に有った、枝垂れ桜です。


Rosebay flowers. 石楠花です。


Mituba-Tutuji (Azalea family). ミツバツツジです。


Spring star flowers. ハナニラです。



And a swallow. 燕もいました。

    Ooo, I've always LOVED cherry blossoms. I was raised in Washington, D.C., and Japan donated the cherry trees that are growing around the Tidal Basin. Each Spring they are just gorgeous!

    Such GORGEOUS cherry blossoms at the Yamato-Koriyama castle; must have been a great view♡♡♡ I may have to remember where you have been to and try visit someday p;) Wonderful photos; wondering if changing camera to SLR might make my pics better, haha.   8. Beautiful castles, a moat filled with cherry blossom petals and a temple built on craggy rocks. Add a gorgeous lake view from your hotel, more lovely spring flowers. and a swallow on her nest and you have a marvelous post!

  13. こんにちは、大和郡山城の桜はちょうど「散り始め」でしたね。でもとてもきれいです。
    琵琶湖と近江大橋は、全体の色調がブルーですが、ホワイトバランスでの調整でしょうか。
    こちらもとてもきれいです。

  15. 奈良にいらしてたんですね。吉野の桜、何回か行きました。3年くらい前、すいていたので、ついマイカーで上まで行ったのですが、下山の時には、大勢の人が下山道を歩いていて道を譲ってくれなくて、こまりました。
    郡山城の桜もこんなに美しかったのですね。、お濠の花びらの多さには、目をうばわれます。近くに住んでいながら、まだ行った事がありません。来年はいってみます。

      こんばんは。吉野はとても綺麗な所ですね。大和郡山城も吉野も2回目です。前回は、吉野は、京都見物して、翌日、近鉄で行きました。郡山城は、高取城、壺坂寺、などへ行きました。
       吉野は、また行ってみたいです。

  24. 郡山城は我が家から車で30分ほどの所にあります。ここでは再建された建物と桜がお互いに引き立てあい、いい撮影ができましたね。私のお気に入りの場所はお堀だけが残っている廃墟で、咲き誇る桜を眺めながら、過去の栄光に想いを馳せます。琵琶湖も大好きなので、行きたいなぁと思わされましたよ。吉野山も含め近畿一円、いいご旅行でしたね。私は家の事情で遠出できませんが、奈良と神戸の近場で撮影散歩を楽しんでいます。

      こんばんは。コメントありがとうございます。 我が家の近くにある六義園は柳沢吉保の上屋敷だったそうです。
       大和郡山城には親近感を感じてしまいます。 彼はそうとう貴族趣味だった様で、柳沢文庫の「むくり屋根」にも、その面影が偲ばれます。
       私も、父親の介護には苦労をしました。
