On the way to Odawara,we could see Mt.Fuji clearly.
Mt.Fuji.
The castle was located on the top of Mt.Ishigaki., remains only the castle.
Walking this lane,we arrived at the castle.
The castle site,named Ishigaki castle.
We could see from near the castle site.
We could see the enemy castle,Odawara castle. too.
Zooming up. This castle is located on the plains.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi laid siege to Odawada castle. Then secretly made Ishigaki castle.
Constructing the castle ,he ordered the deforestation.
Ishigaki castle were looked as if it were made in one night.
The lord of Odawara castle lost the will to fight. And surrendered in a few months.
There were not so many fallen solders in both side.
Odawara castle tower( reconstruction).
Walking around Mt.Ishigaki,I looked many flowers and blossoms.
Two kind of cherry blossoms.
Azalea.
Azalea family.
Japanese iris.

A kind of raspberry.
Violet.
Houtyakuso.

Cobra lily Urashima.
Spathe.
Any fungus grat would enter male spathe, and then would go to female spathe with pollens on its body. After pollination this insect would search the exit. But no exit in female spathe,
After the pollination, the death would be waiting for any fungus grat.
How beautiful that Mt. Fuji is! I was not familiar with Kanbei but he must be a quite negotiator and brave fellow. Are you watching the show? How do you like it?
ReplyDeleteDear Akemi sama.
DeleteThank you very much for your comment. I like real history TV programs. I do not watch fiction dramas usually. Kanbei is vey famous. Hideyoshi said "if there were no Kanbei, I could not unify the country."
Lovely flower shots! And great photo of Mt. Fuji.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda.
DeleteThank you very much for your comment.
Dear Anzu.
This post is absolutely breathtaking Minoru! What a wonderful place to visit. It shows beautifully what a great photographer you are. From the amazing mountain shot to the macro flowers, every photo is perfection. (The Spring flowers are wonderful!)

ReplyDeleteDear Yoko sama.
Dearest Minoru-san;
ReplyDeleteWow; what fantastic series of pictures♡♡♡ I haven't seen Mt. Fuji yet and not may castles. I WISH to see with my own eyes at least once p;) Sadly, I don't have time to see 大河ドラマ each week like younger days; must have been fascinating to visit the historic place following the story.
I truly enjoyed your pictures of beautiful flowers, some I didn't know. I wondered how the name Kiranso. キランソウ(地獄の釜の蓋) came from and checked with pc :-)
Sincerely from Yamaguchi, Miyako*
Dear Miyako sama.
DeleteThank you very much for your comment. I hope you will go to Mt.Fuji in some future. There are many queer names about wild flowers. For example, 「
The oldies are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDear rainfield61.

I loved the winding pathway to the castle - lovely scenes and beautiful flowers
ReplyDeleteDear Carole.

Pretty clever strategy. It must have very demoralizing for the enemy to suddenly see this castle appear.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the wildflowers are beautiful.
