A LOCAL CITY VISITING TOUR

We went to local cities looking for the good and old days.


Omihachiman city in Shiga prefecture. There were many merchants in this city.
 
近江八幡市です。伊藤忠の創業者の家もここに有ります。
 
 
 
An old street of stores and houses.
 
古い街並み。「うだつ」も松の後ろに建ってます。
 
 
 
Himure-Hachimangu Shrine.
 
日牟礼八幡神社。豊臣秀次の五七の桐の紋も有りました。
 
 
 
Votive picture tablets. They would form a Japanese abacus.
 
絵馬が算盤の様に並んでます。
 
 
 
We could see the Sun was just setting in the distance of  Lake Biwako.
 
琵琶湖の夕日、長浜市の近くです。
 
Next day, we went to Tugaru city in Fukui prefecture.
 
 
A symbol of Turuga port.Many sailing ships anchored in this harbour a long time ago.
 
「北前船」を記念しているのでしょうか。
 
 
 
Former Turuga Port railroad station building. Many Japanese people went to Europe by way of the Trans-Siberian Railroad before The World War first. Using sailing ship from Turuga to Vladivostok.
 
旧敦賀港駅舎。ここからウラジオストックに行きシベリア横断鉄道に乗ってヨーロッパに行く人が多かったそうです。
 
 
 
Kihino-Matubara seashore.
 
気比の松原の海岸です。
 
 
 
Kihi-Jingu Shrine. There are many stone all-night lights in front of Kihi-Jinhu Shrine.
 
気比神宮です。常夜灯が沢山有りました。
 
 
 
The gate of Kihi-Jingu Shrine.
 
気比神宮の鳥居です。
 
 
We looked this sea from the hill. There was an ancient battlefield in this hill.
 
金が崎の古戦場の近くから見た景色です。
 
 
The last day, we stayed a hotel in Obama city The same name of Obama president in USA.
 
Many mackerel fish were landed in Obama fishing port. The salted fish were carried to Kyoto.
There were three routes from Obama to Kyoto.                                                                                 Each route was called " The route of Mackerel."
 
There are many fish stores in Obama shopping strees.

The gate of Shirahige Shrine. This shrine is located between Obama and Kyoto.
 
白鬚神社です。鯖街道の途中に有りました。

  6. こんにちは、地方都市ツアーですか。近江八幡市から敦賀市に入って、「旧津軽港駅舎」が出てきたので、青森に船で移動されたのかとびっくりしました(笑)。その次が気比神宮なので、恐らくは敦賀市の旧敦賀港駅舎ですね。敦賀港の船の帆のようなオブジェ、それから気比の松原の海水の綺麗さが印象的ですが、「Obama fishing port」の鯖の4枚組みの写真が素晴らしいです。自由作品講評の日には、間違いなく好評を得られると思います。

       こんばんは。慌てて書いたものですので、間違いに気が付きませんでした。ご指摘ありがとうございます。
       今回は「北前船」の足跡を訪ねる講師付きの旅でした。英語で表現できないのでこのようになりました。
       鯖は外国人には奇妙に見えるので小さくしました。本来は「鯖の道」と言われてたそうです。
       お褒め頂きありがとうございます。

  12. 近江八幡、懐かしいです。1枚目と夕陽の光景はゾクッときました。観光名所ではないのですが、琵琶湖方面に行ったときは近江八幡のクラブハリエで休憩し、スィーツとお茶をいただくことが多いです。

       近江八幡では昔の近江商人の心意気を見てきました。越前ガニが食べられ無かったのが残念です。
