MERRY CHRISTMAS

Japan is not a Christian country. But Christmas sales battle is now in full swing everywhere in our country.

This Christmas tree is located in front of Mikimoto pearl shop at Ginza in Tokyo.

    The trees are beautiful! And blue lights on a Christmas tree are absolutely fine here in the United States. Maybe not just as common as colored lights and white lights. Our boys have blue lights decorating their rooms! Merry Christmas!

      Thank you very much for your comment. I read a essay about London. It was written about blue bulb lights, not using on Christmas trees.
      I think it would be misunderstanding.

    Christmas is more than a Christian holiday. It actually goes back to Yule and Solstice celebrations before Christianity started. If you look up Yule and Solstice in Wiki you will find more information.

    I have no info about the blue lights not being used. It sounds more like a rumor than fact. Are the blue lights LED? I know that the bright blue LED light bulbs were developed by Nichia Company in Japan and they make Christmas illuminations so that might be why there are so many blue ones in Japan. Would be interesting to know if this is part of the reason. No matter what, they are pretty.

    As far as I remember, we had plenty of blue Christmas lights in South Africa, but ... Africa ... we love breaking rules! :D

    I didn't photograph any Xmas lights this year. It's too cold in Tokyo and I'm too lazy. ^^

    最近は「ＬＥＤ」が広く使われるようになったので、イルミネーションや「Ｘｍａｓ」のライトアップが華やかになり、そしてあちこちで見られるようになりました。草木や花の被写体が少ないこの時期には写真のネタにもってこいで助かります。ランチタイムに前の道を歩くので「ミキモト」のＸｍａｓツリーは知ってましたが、交通会館にこんなイルミネーションがあるとは気付きませんでした。とても素敵ですね。

      弘世旅空様　こんばんは。世界の流れに逆らわ無いよう、この写真も載せました。
      　ミキモトはちゃんとパールのネックレスの宣伝もクリスマスツリーにしていて商魂逞しく思いました。
      　交通会館にこんなイルミネイションが有るのは、私もこれまで知りませんでした。

    ミキモトのクリスマスツリーすてきですね。パールのネックレスもついていて。少し昔見たロックフェラーのツリーにも似てるようです。Merry Christmas!

      　ミキモトのクリスマスツリーはこちらでは毎回の様にテレビで中継されます。
      　ロックフェラーセンターのツリーも海外ニュースで中継されますね。
