Drift ice in the Sea of Okhotsk is one of Hokkaido's winter attractions. I went to Hokkaido as a member of group tour for 3 days.
This is the drift ice. I saw the drift ice for the first time on the way to Oshinkoshin Falls.

The second day. We got on this ice breaker ship named Aurora.

About 10 minitues after, we encountered the drift ice.

The third day. We got on anothe ice breaker ship,named Garinko from Monbetu harbour.
紋別港から乗ったガリンコ号です。
5 minutes after,we encountered drift ice.
約5分後に流氷に遭遇しました。
This ship breaked the drift ice.

Then we went back to Tokyo from Monbetu air port. We could see the drift ice from the airplane.
