A SUBTROPICAL ISLAND.

 We went to a 7 day trip to Ishigakijima Island. This island is about 2000 km far away from Tokyo.

Hibiscus. There are two sets of calxes on this flower. The lower calyxes would become Hibiscus tea.

 

ハイビスカスのガクは２セットあります。下のガクがハイビスカス茶の原料です。

 

 

Bougainvillea.  There are three white flowers and 3 pink calyxes.

 

ブーゲンビリアの白い花、ピンクはガクです。

 

 

Kintyou.

 

キンチョウ、ベンケイソウ科です。

 

 

 

Milkweed.

 

トウワタ（唐綿）　ガガイモ科です。

 

 

Beach Hibiscus.

 

オオハマボウ、アオイ科です。

 

 

Creeping lettuce.

 

オオジシバリ、キク科です。

 

 

Canna Indica.

 

キバナダンドク、カンナ科です。

 

 

Wild Morning Glory.

 

ノアサガオです。

 

 

Water Pimpernel.

 

ハマボッス、サクラソウ科です。

 

 

A flower of Hawaiian Giant Taro.

 

クワズイモの花、サトイモ科です。

 

 

Screw pine.

 

アカタコノキです。

 

Roots.

 

そのネッコです。

 

 

Fruits.

 

果実です。

 

we could find crabs and  a kind of jelly fish in seashores.

 

 

Fiddler Crab.

 

シオマネキです。

 

Soldier Crab.

 

ミナミコメツキガニです。

 

 

Vell Velella.

 

カツオのカンムリ、クラゲの仲間です。

 

 

We enjoyed this island very much.
