Mt.Asahidake in Hokkaido. 北海道紀行、旭岳。

Arriving at Asahikawa airport,we got on a resereved rental car
and drived bound for Mt.Asahidake.

It took about an hour to go to the cable car station on the foot of the mountain.


Mt.Asahidake.



The season of autumn tints has just started.



Sugataminoike pond.


The pond.



The eruption of volcanic gas.


We could see the eruption  very near.


The summit of Mt.Asahidake.



Two hours later,we could not see the summit.


We stayed in Hokkaido for 3 days.

    This mountain looks a lot like Mt St Helens in Washington state.

    少しだけ色づいてもまだ夏の名残のように見える旭岳。青空が眩しく感じます。池へのリフレクションがきれいですね。地球の鼓動を感じる場所ですね。

    地震前にいかれたのでしょうか。よく旅行なさっているので旅先で災害に会われませんように。
