Takachiko gorge in Kyusyu.

My wife and I went to a three day trip in Kyusyu.

Arriving at Miyazaki airport, we got on a reserved rental car bound for Takachiho city.

The second day, we arrived at Takachiho gorge.

Takachiho gorge is one of the most beautiful gorges in Japan.

There is a pond. Many sturgeons and carp were swimming.

After leaving we went to Yabakei in Oita.
On the way to Yabakei, we could see the smoke from Mt.Nakadake

    2. You could see that I really love Japan and I mean it. I will return to Kyushu island in future after visiting other places I have bookmarked. It is Kanagawa and Niigata areas. I also wish to see those festivals that parade on the streets with big processions like that one held annually in Hakatta (Fukuoka). I watched the video at the museum there and my tears came out. Ha Ha ha...

  11. Is that gorge only seen from a lookout, or is there a boat you rode going through it? That waterfall is lovely.
