Happo-One highland in Nagano. 八方尾根。

Happo-One is one of the most famous skiing resort in our country.
Some down hill competitions for women were held in Nagano Olympic games in 1998.

We got on a Gondola lift , different type lifts two times, then we arrived Happo-One highland.

  27. It is so exciting to see the view of Mt.Karamatudake which looked like Avatar movies! Now I learn that Cable Cars can be called Gondola Lifts too! Interesting place.

I was just talking to my Japanese friend in phone texts that Sapporo would be too cold in Winter for his his small daughter to join our planned trip and he replied that Nagano is always very cold too. His daughter went to Nagano few Winters to visit her grandparents.

Thank you very much for your comment. The quality of snow in Hokkaido and Nagano are very good for skiing. But Niigata is not so. We went to both Hokkaido and Nagano many times for skiing.
