The first Samurai Government was established at Kamakura in 1192 AD.
There are many sightseeing places at Kamakura,we visited there many times.
So we walked only historical sites this time.
We started our walking from Hoshoji Temple.

法性寺です。
The government made 7 sunken roads to protect it against enemies.
大切岸です。
One of the sunken road remains almost same as the original.
名越の切通です。
There are two very small stone joss houses along the road.
石廟です。 目的は不明です。
There is a kind of grave yard too.
A kind of grave yard.
This kind of grave yards were made Kamakura government era only.
まんだら堂の「やぐら」です。
鎌倉文化圏にだけ存在します。

These small towers were made for memorial service for the dead.
There are many wild flowers along the road.
Deutzia.
卯の花、別名、ウツギです。
旧暦の4月は卯月、卯の花の咲く月から名づけられたと言われています。
