AWAJI ISLAND AND KOBE CITY.

                          We visited Kobe city and Awaji island for three days.

                       神戸と淡路島に行って来ました。

 We went to Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park to see Awaji flower festival.

             淡路花博を見に、国営明石海峡公園へ行きました。

The day before coming here,we visited Kobe city.
Kobe is a famous harbor city.


We got on a sightseeing ship from Port Island.

ポートアイランドの中突堤ターミナルから、遊覧船に乗りました。

We stayed at Sheraton Hotel Kobe Bay.

六甲アイランドにあるホテルに泊りました。

We got across Akashi channels through Akashi Channel Long Bridge.

明石海峡大橋を渡りました。

This bridge is 3991 meter long.


The longest bridge in the world as a suspension bridge.

  7. Hi Minoru! Impressive pictures of the bridge, I like the last one especially because of the perspective.
    It's so surprising to see such a Netherland tulip-scenery in Japan, but I really like those stone daisies - like a colorful carpet.

    もう横浜での生活が より長くなりましたが、何時みても故郷は輝き、どことなく時間がゆっくり流れているように見えるのも不思議です。  淡路島は特に (*'ー'*)ノ

       こんばんは。 神戸、明石が故郷ですか、今回初めて、神戸に滞在しました。明石はたこ焼きの発祥の地ですね。聖路加病院のある、中央区明石町は、明石に似ていることから、地名になったそうです。
       以前、お城歩きで、明石城も行った事があります。

    fab views from the hotel room. I find looking the interior of motel rooms interesting. Probably because I am a housekeeper at a motel here in Napier.

  21. The flower bird is amazing, I don't know how they do the flowers vertically. The tulip beds are so beautiful being laid out in curves and swirls. The city and bridges are also amazing, what a neat place to visit.

      こんばんは。ありがとうございます。 伊丹空港から、レンタカーで行きましたが、道が思いのほか混んでいて、神戸をゆっくり見物する事が出来ませんでした。
       明石では、卵焼き(明石焼き)が名物だそうですね、5,6ね年前に明石城を見学に行った時には知りませんでしたので、食べそこないました。

    2. 神戸では明石焼きと言っていましたが、地元明石の方は卵焼きというそうですね。要するにたこ焼きですが、とろーりとした卵の食感、だしにつけてあっさり食べるんです。ご自宅にたこ焼き器があれば、クックパッドなどでレシピを調べ、だしでいただいてください。ちなみに、大阪周辺では、一家に一つはたこ焼き器があります。

      こんばんは。 関東と関西では、文化の違いがあります。 昔、流行った言葉に「巨人、大鵬、卵焼き」というのがありました。関西では、「阪神、たこ焼き、食い倒れ」とも言うそうですね。
       東京は蕎麦の文化圏、関西はうどんの文化圏かも。 神戸で、昼食、夕食とも、和食を食べました関西は薄味と聞いていましたが、 とても濃い味でした。
