MATUMAE CASTLE AND LAKE TOYAKO.

    In the morning , it was a very fine day. Hakodate bay was very beautiful..



Hakodate bay. 函館湾です。



Leaving Hakodate,we went to Matumae castle.
Single cherry blossom tree season was over,Double cherry blossom season started in this area.

Then we went to Lake Toyako.

Then we went to Lake Shikotuko.

Mt.Eniwadake. 恵庭岳です。



Chitose river ,starting from Lake Shikotuko.

支笏湖から流れる、千歳川、石狩川に合流します。

We could see many flowers in Hokkaido.


Japanese quince. ボケです。



Odorikoso,pink. オドリコソウです。

Ajuga. 西洋十二単です。


Mos phlox. シバザクラです。

  2. Hakodate Bay is a very nice place like a resort with colourful scenery. The lakes with mountain backdrop is like a heavenly dream and the flowers are pretty too. You were lucky to capture the fireworks display too.

  3. 桜前線はそこまで行ったのですね。稚内の千島桜が最北端と聞いています。夕暮れの洞爺湖雰囲気があります、でもやはり、朝もやの洞爺湖にはかなわないかな。木瓜の花が咲き誇っていますね。私もたいてい呆けの花を咲かせています。

    冒頭の函館湾の写真、大好きです。北の海の雰囲気が漂って。夕光の洞爺湖もステキです。いつもここで、日本各地の風景を堪能させていただいています。北海道は春がいっきに来て、色とりどりの花がいっせいに咲く野ですね。

  23. I love the fireworks reflected in the water!!! And I envy you having an extended cherry blossom season - single and then double!!! Are the trilliums, the last flower you show, native to Japan, also? They are the floral emblem of the province of Ontario!

  25. I am drunk with all the beauty you bring us in this post. Your architecture complements the cherry blossom and I certainly did not know you had Trillium growing in Japan. I always thought it was native to the north of Not the America.

      こんばんは。そんなに寒くは無かったです。八重桜は遅咲きですのでまだ見る事が出来ました。千歳川は支笏湖から発して石狩川に流れ込むそうです。
       日本に帰る楽しさがとても強く伝わってきます。楽しみですね。

  30. 函館湾、波が荒そうですね。歌のように逆巻く波ですね。朝もやの洞爺湖、幻想的ですね。シャッター押したい気分にさせてくれます。私の庭のぼけは、オレンジ色ですが、薄いピンクは、かれんですね。五月の北海道、楽しませて頂きました。

  35. Lake Toyako is so amazing... it looks like a classical painting this photo - 10/21!! All the views and landscapes are magnificent in fact... stunning to see them, anyway! And the beautiful blooms are so incredible... I have to see what ajuga is... it looks so familiar... and the cherry blossoms are familiar, also! Lovely post as always!
