夢の島熱帯植物園に数日前に行きました。
A tropical botanical garden in Tokyo. I felt as if I were in a tropical island.
まるで熱帯の島に居る様な気分です。
Royal palm.
ダイオウヤシです。
Cattleya.
カトレアです。
Guzumania.
グズマニアです。
Cat tail or Acalypha hispida.
ベニヒモノキです。
Dombaya wallichii.
ドンベアワリッキーです。
Cacao.
カカオです。
Saintpaulia.
セントポーリアです。
Henri Rousseau's painting. He has never been in a tropical island. He liked to go to a tropical botanical garden in Paris.
かの孤高の画家と言われるアンリ．ルソーは熱帯の島には一度も行った事が無かったそうです。
彼はパリにある熱帯植物園に何度も通ったそうです。
If I would go this garden many times, I would be able to understand his feelings a little bit??

一度いらしたら感激するかも知れません。

最後のルソーの絵はスイスのバーゼル美術館に展示されている作品ですね。世界最古の公共美術館とも言われていて、確かグレコからゴッホ、ゴーギャンまでありました。ルソーは熱帯原始林を描いた作品が多いので、緑色だけで何十種類もの絵具を持っていたそうです。カカオの木に直接果実みたいなのがぶら下がってる写真が印象的です。恐らくこの袋の中にある実がカカオ豆なんでしょうね。この植物園は行ったことがあるのですが、カカオの木があるのは気付きませんでした。

流石、所蔵する美術館までよくご存じですね。彼の絵画は私も好きです。
カカオは重い実を付けるので、次第に幹から直接、実を付ける様に進化したと言われています。

Beautiful garden! I went to Hibiya and East garden in Tokyo. Also visited gardens in Nara and Kyoto. They were so very well maintained. Loved them. Beauteul captures :)
