  3. Hello Minoru,
Wonderful scenery and beautiful flowers. We had an unusually cold June and now we have had an unusually long heat wave. I'm ready for more normal weather. :)

Spectacular scenery and wild flowers.....fireweed is one of my favourite wild plants. I love the way it has established itself around the world........not to everyone's liking of course!

    Have a great week,

  8. You always visit the most beautiful places, and your posts make Japan feel like a vast country to me!

Wherever I go in the world, I am always drawn to the highlands, because… well, your pictures explain everything. :-) The views, including the one from your hotel window, are beautiful and serene - what a wonderful place to escape the heat, crowds, and noise. Love the sweet pond, and the dramatic view of Mt. Fuji! And, as always, I love your flower photos. We were just admiring some tiger lilies in a nearby garden yesterday! And it's always fun when I see familiar flower faces on the other side of the world - fireweed is plentiful here, adding vibrant color to our countryside as well!

Thank you for another beautiful post, Minoru!

  19. Wonderful to get away from the heat for a while to this beautiful place with alpine flowers The little rhododendron is the same as is native to the higher regions of the European Alps. For me it is exciting to also see it as a native of Japan. Thank you for all the beauty you have shared.
