Autumn season in the suburbs of Tokyo. 小金井公園。

We went to Koganei park. It is located in the suburbs of Tokyo.

What are these?


Mushrooms. カワラタケ。


On the cherry blossom tree.


Tree nuts are as follows.


キササゲ。


マテバシイ。


ケヤキ。


ボダイジュ。


a flower of crape myrtle.
一輪のサルスベリ、黄色と赤は装飾花、下部に雄しべと雌しべ。

  8. The mushrooms may be Turkey Tails. Would need to see underneath them to be more certain.

    Lovely photos again! I wish I had seen more gardens when I was in Tokyo in August. Too hot then as you know.

  12. What pretty little blooms. I love the spider lily and the crepe myrtle. I have never seen that many mushrooms on one tree before. Awesome shot.

  15. Tokyo is such a huge city yet it has many lovely gardens and parks everywhere. I would love to live in Tokyo.

    The photo of the wild mushrooms is so beautiful on the Cherry Blossom tree! Thank you for sharing the interesting flowers and photos. I cannot wait for your coming photos of the end of Autumn when all the trees are red, yellow and brown. You always shared these beautiful shots.
