WHIRLING WAVES NEAR AWAJI ISLAND.

We started from the hotel where we stayed and went to see whirling waves.

We got on this ship for whirling wave watching.

We can see the waves near this Naruto Long Bridge.

The sea looks very calm.

But there is the difference between The pacific Ocean and The Seto inland Sea.

Going to the Naruto Channel we could see the difference of elevation.

The elevation too.

We could see the whirling waves.

The whirling waves too.

The hotel rooms where we stayed. A bed room,Tatami mat room
and dining room.

With a private open air hot spring bath room.

A full course Japanese dinner was served at this dining room.

The sunset started while we were eating the dinner.

We stopped the dinner to see the sunset.

Breakfast was also served in this dining room.

We went to Awaji Dream stages the day before.

These stages were designed by Tadao Ando.

Water Falls.

One of the dream stages.

Thee is a green house near this stage.

I picked up Japanese style works only as follows.

Wall hanging Bonsai using magnet.

Plants using picture.

Plants using picture too.

Floral Bonsai.

By macro lens.

By the way,I want to quote a Chinese poem.

Flowers would boom the same way every year,

but people would not remain the same.

Thanks for visiting this post.

  3. Dear Minoru,
Always when I visit you, your pictures of your travels give me joy. I love the sailing ship, the wild sea whirls, the sunset and I like the Japanese design in your hotel room, especially with that open bath room, which I've never seen before!!! Also the wall pictures, with all these little plants, look very interesting...

  16. I must say that your photos are very awesome and amazing beyond words. Life has been so kind to you to be able to enjoy so much short trip vacations within the country.
It was so romantic to have dinner while watching the beautiful sunset and later dip into the open air onsen. That's heavens!!

I love the wall murals and bonsai with tiny real plants!! The Japanese are always creative and innovative.

  17. The swirling waters are fascinating, I hadn't heard of that. The hotel room looks very luxurious, but what I would like is the hot spring water. I like the dream stages, the first one looks very naturalistic, and the art made with the little flowers. The bonsai Arisaema sikokianums are so adorable, I love the white interiors and striped spathes. I have different Arisaemas I may put on next week.
