THE SCENERY OF THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

Good old scenery is left in various parts of Japan.  At first we visited Kinosaki hot spring area in Hyogo.

Kinosaki hot spring area is located along this Maruyamagawa river.

  21. Oh, my gosh, I was enthralled with your lovely photography. I've visited Japan twice - once to lecture on Child Forensic Interviewing in the Kyoto area, Tokyo and Akita. I had such a wonderful time, especially in Akita as we had three days there and my forensic nurse colleague from the University took us so many incredible places.

  30. You take so many lovely little trips, and I love that you share them with us! I always learn something new.

My favorite of the bath houses is the first one, Goshono yu. It looks very traditional and very inviting. And of course I love your gull photos, especially the second one of the gull in flight! What a perfect photo! But my favorite part of this post was Miyama. I had no idea Japan had thatched roof houses! I've always loved thatched roofs, and that cedar forest behind the houses - talk about inviting! What lovely woods for walking in they must be! Those forested hills make such a lovely backdrop for the town.

The flowers, as always, are just beautiful! I'm especially fond of the Trumpet Creeper - love that color!
