I went to Jindai botanical garden to see roses. It located in the surburbs of Tokyo.

This sunk garden is very good to view roses.

This kind of small rose tree flowers became to be called Floribunda in future.

It is said the ancestor of perpetual roses were found in the back regions in China.

The first open 3 calyxes have pointed edges to protect petals from insects, second open 2 calyxes have round shapes to protect petal themselves.

The thorns of rose not only protect itself but also lean against other branches

The ancestor of yellow roses was found in West Asia at the end of 19 century.
The first garden roses were made in 1900AD.
If not so, the famous song"The Yellow Rose of Texas" would not ce composed.

    1. snow white

       Mother nature is truely wonderful.
